Abstract

Tinatalakay sa artikulong ito ang mga karanasan ng isang gurong Filipino na nagtuturo ng wikang Filipino bilang wikang banyaga sa mga mag-aaral na Pranses sa Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, o Pambansang Surian ng mga Wika at Kabihasnang Silanganin sa Asya. Sa unang bahagi ng sanaysay, inilalahad ang mga materyales na kalakip sa paghahanda sa pagtuturo ng wikang Filipino. Ipinakikilala naman sa ikalawang bahagi ang mga uri ng mga mag-aaral at ang kanilang mga motibasyon sa pag-aaral. Sa huli, ibinabahagi ng manunulat ang mga estratehiyang kaniyang ginagamit sa pagtuturo ng wikang Filipino kasama na rin ang mga pagsubok sa pagtuturo ng iba’t ibang kurso na may kinalaman sa wika tulad ng pagsasalita, balarila, at pag-aaral ng mga akdang moderno.

Teaching the Filipino Language in France

Abstract (English)

This article recounts the experiences of a Filipino teacher who teaches Filipino as a foreign language to French students at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, or the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations. At the beginning of the essay, the author reports her experience in preparing the lessons and teaching materials used. The second part describes the different students in the Filipino section and their motivations for learning the language. The third part presents the different strategies used by the author and the difficulties encountered in teaching subjects such as oral expression, grammar, and the study of modern texts.
