This essay proposes that 'relationship' is at the heart of Christian-Muslim Relations. I present two simple experiences that I had with a Muslim teacher and young Muslim students during my years of formation towards priesthood. Those experiences taught me the importance of taking roots among Muslims so that we can discover in one another a brother or a sister. An attitude nurtured by Nostra Aetate will flourish in an ambience of open ended conversation between Christians and Muslims that neither compromises one's faith convictions nor disregards the faith convictions of Muslim brothers and sisters.
