KK Lecture Series presents Faye Cura's "Ang Feminista Bilang Manunulat"

November 06, 2023

The year 2023 marks the 25th publication anniversary of Delia Aguilar’s book Toward a Nationalist Feminism. This collection of essays explores the “intersection of gender and material life” in the experience of Filipino women, a landmark in the field of Women’s and Gender Studies in the Philippines.

To celebrate this, Kritika Kultura, together with Dr Jeffrey Cabusao of Bryant University, will spearhead a lecture series in honor of Delia Aguilar and her book Toward a Nationalist Feminism. The first of a series of lectures will be held on November 14, 2023, Tuesday, 5:00 pm, at the Natividad Galang Fajardo Conference Room, De La Costa Hall, Ateneo de Manila University, with Faye Cura of Gantala Press as speaker.

Faye Cura’s lecture, titled, “Ang Feminista Bilang Manunulat ng Bansa,” will delve into the contribution of Delia Aguilar to feminist discussions in the country, particularly in the areas of literature and publishing.
